Holland & Barrett: Why Physical Retail Matters by Holland & Barrett

Richard Fisher, Design Manager at Holland & Barrett, shared an inspiring look at the evolving role of Holland & Barrett’s physical retail spaces in today’s landscape. He highlighted the brand’s recent efforts to enhance the in-store experience taking the successes from a full store overhaul in Chelmsford across the estate of 800 stores. The programme has featured a range of refits from ‘refreshed’ stores with updated fascias, navigation, and welcoming features through to full ‘refits’ that reimagined space allocation, introduced display tables, consultation rooms and added dedicated beauty zones. 

The presentation also showcased Holland & Barrett’s innovative approach to reaching customers beyond their own stores, including Next concessions and single-aisle partnerships in Tesco. A compelling example of how thoughtful design and strategic partnerships can keep physical retail relevant and thriving.
